Teen FIRE is designed to provide support for adolescents on their important journey into adulthood. Teen FIRE includes Faith Formation sessions for students in 7th - 10th grade who are not receiving a Catholic education to help prepare them for Confirmation. An integral part of our Teen FIRE Program are the Teen FIRE Nights, which includes the participation of parents.
Participating in the Teen FIRE program consists of:
Teen participation on Monday night classes from 6:30 - 7:45 PM
Parent & teen attendance once a month on Monday night from 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Once a month Teen FIRE Night will take place in which parents join the teen in order to be a more integral part of their formation in the faith. Teen FIRE Nights will include:
Food and fellowship
Breakout for Formation: teens & parents divide into groups to receive formation on the same topic simultaneously.
Learning doctrines of the faith has no meaning if it is not preceded by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and aided by a good healthy relationship with oneself, and with one’s peers. This year we are adopting the LifeTeen model and curriculum, emphasizing the relational aspect of faith.
Retreats!
We are excited to announce that this year we’ll be offering our teens participating in the Teen FIRE program a retreat! Retreats provide an inestimable value when it comes to getting kids away from their daily reality and showing them the beauty and attractiveness of their Catholic faith. Time after time we have seen teens leave retreats with their hearts BURNING with love for Christ and their faith! This is our hope for your teens too. We hope this experience is foundational for the rest of
their faith journey!
Registration is now open and will be closed on September 1
