Comedian Marvin Lee
Marvin Lee combines the stage presence of Sinbad, the edgyness of Carlos Mencia and the good ol'common sense of George Wallace wrapped up in a clean PG to PG-13 show. He is a high energy, down to earth smart alec with a hidden twisted streak. With the exception of Asian, Marvin has been mistaken for every minority living in the U.S. To the conclusion of "What are you?"...Hilarious is the answer.
More About Marvin Lee:
Terry Comeaux
1980 was my first attempt at stand-up comedy. It took place at Clyde's Comedy Corner in the New Orleans French Quarter for an amateur comedy contest. The emcee was none other than ...Ellen Degeneres. I was really nervous and.......I "Bombed."
Ellen was very nice though. She sat me down and talked to me for about 45 min. saying things like..."Don't give up" and "You'll get better if you keep trying." So... I gave up...
I didn't try stand-up comedy again until 16yrs. later for another contest. (The 1996 International Cajun Joke Telling Contest in Opelousas, La.) Well I had a great show...(runner-up) I decided to take a comedy writing class and began performing around New Orleans and the south with enough success to keep me wanting to perform. Now I have been doing stand-up for over 10 yrs. and have performed at some really nice comedy clubs and casinos.
