Adult Faith Formation
The Adult Faith Formation team provides resources faithful to the teachings of the Magisterium necessary for OLL parish to develop and strengthen the faith of all OLL adult parishioners. The team coordinates classes and guest speakers through the direction of the Pastor and the Director of Religious Education. They also promote, oversee, and evaluate online resources for faith formation. Key among these is Formed, a parish subscription to quality faith formation offerings for studying, proclaiming, and living God’s Word. In addition, links to a broad array of faith formation websites are made available through the parish website. If you wish to suggest or recommend an offering, please contact one of the team members. Rites of Christian Initiation is offered to both non-Catholics and Catholics wishing to join the Catholic Church or complete the Catholic Sacraments. Christian Initiation is an ancient heritage which helps to form the entire Christian community as a community witnessing to Christ throughout the liturgical year.
Anyone is welcome to the classes which are scheduled on Tuesday in the Fellowship One classroom at 6:30 pm September thru May. At the Easter Vigil we follow the time honored practice of initiating new members into the Faith with the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Those who are previously baptized but who are not Catholic, make a Profession of Faith and then receive and partake in the Sacraments of Initiation.
