Festival of the Lake

The Festival of the Lake is Our Lady of the Lake’s major fundraiser.  The 2010 festival will be held on October 15h, 16th and 17th.  The funds raised benefit our church, school and local charities. 

The Festival of the Lake is enjoyed by all with food from local restaurants and parishioners, plenty of games and inflatables for the children, and great bands enjoyed by all.  

Admission Is Free So Bring the Whole Family!

• Friday, October 15th – 5:00 until 11:00 pm
• Saturday, October 16th – 11:00 until 11:00 pm
• Sunday, October 17th – 12:00 until 7:00 pm

Volunteer Opportunities 

The Festival of the Lake cannot be successful without the stewardship of our parishioners.  There are many ways everyone can help.  You can volunteer to be a chairperson of one of the many booths.  Or you can volunteer to work a three hour shift during one of the days of the Festival of the Lake. The festival requires approximately 1000 volunteers to staff the three day event.  Please contact Mary Pagnutti at 985-727-7796 to join in the effort.  

 

Festival Race and Fun Run

A big part of our annual fun Festival activities is the 5k race & ½ mile fun run held on Saturday, October 16, 2010.  The 5k race starts at 8:00am and the 1/2 Mile fun run is at 8:45 to follow.  The race begins at Our Lady of the Lake (Lafitte and Jefferson).

Entry Fees: Pre-Registration: $20 by October 1, 2010 and each additional Family Member is $15.00.  Post-registration is $25 with additional family members at $20 each.  Sponsorships are available.

Sponsorships

Sponsorships are also available to businesses and individuals.  Please consider being a sponsor this year for this wonderful event. Your company or family will be recognized as a donor to over 5,000 families in the parish as well as thousands of people who attend the festival.   Whether you are motivated by the broad exposure the festival will provide you, or simply want to help make it a success, we welcome and look forward to your participation.   Contact Kevin Morgan at 264-3666.  A patrons party will be held the weekend before the festival for sponsors and chairpersons to kick off the festivities.

Ticket Purchases

Discount festival tickets may be purchased after all Masses in the several weeks leading up to the festival.  Buy your tickets early and save money!
